  • 8 slices Bacon cooked and crumbled, turkey bacon optional
  • 1 cup Blackberries rinsed, variations like raspberries optional
  • 1/4 cup Basil Leaves sliced thinly, fresh preferred

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza crust dough to about 3/8 inch thickness. Cover it to let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill to about 500°F, reducing heat to its lowest setting after preheating.
  3. Grill the dough over direct heat for 2 to 4 minutes until grill marks form.
  4. Remove the crust, brush olive oil on the toasted side, then layer with pizza sauce, mozzarella, bacon, blackberries, and basil. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
  5. Return the topped pizza to the grill with the raw side down, cooking for 4 to 6 minutes with the lid closed.
  6. Move pizza to indirect heat or upper rack until cheese is melted and crust is charred, which may take an additional 2 to 4 minutes.
