Step-by-Step Instructions for Cabbage and Beef Skillet
  1. Wash the cabbage, remove tough leaves and core, then cut into bite-sized pieces. Dice the onion, slice the bell peppers, and thinly slice the garlic.
  2. Cook the chopped turkey bacon in a skillet for 5 to 7 minutes until browned and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef in batches, cooking for 7 to 9 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  4. Add diced onion to the skillet, sauté for 3 minutes, then add bell peppers and cook for another 3 minutes. Stir in sliced garlic for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in tomato paste, spices, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  6. Fold in half of the cabbage, allow to soften for 3 minutes, then add the remaining cabbage and beef broth.
  7. Cover and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until cabbage is tender, then stir well.
  8. Cook uncovered for an additional 5 minutes, add turkey bacon and butter, adjust seasonings, and meld flavors for 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with parsley and sesame seeds, then serve warm.
