Step-by-Step Instructions for Glazed Sticky Beef Bites
- Pat the beef chuck roast dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat and sear the beef for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
- In the same pot, add chopped yellow onion and sauté for 5-7 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Return the seared beef to the pot with soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and braise.
- Reduce heat to low and let braise undisturbed for 2-3 hours until fork-tender.
- Create a cornstarch slurry by mixing cornstarch with cold water. Stir this into the sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve the beef bites over rice or noodles, or as an appetizer with toothpicks.

Notes
For best results, pat beef dry before searing and avoid overcrowding the pot.
