  1. Prep Ingredients: Grate Parmesan cheese, finely chop onion, mince garlic cloves, and season salmon with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Sear Salmon: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear salmon for 3-4 mins on each side until golden brown.
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Lower heat, add onion and sauté for 2 mins until translucent; stir in garlic and sauté for 1 more min.
  4. Toast Orzo: Add orzo, remaining salt, pepper, and thyme; stir and toast for 1 min.
