Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Wash and slice 4-6 ripe pears into thin wedges and arrange them in an oven-safe skillet.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of oats, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of flour. Stir in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg.
- Melt 1/4 cup of butter or coconut oil and pour it into the dry mixture. Mix until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping over the pears in the skillet.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
