Step-by-Step Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add 1 pound of ground beef, cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat, then stir in ½ cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate saucepan over low heat, combine 2 cups of cooked macaroni, 1 cup of whole milk, and 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until cheese melts and forms a creamy sauce, about 5 minutes.
- Lay out 4 large flour tortillas. Scoop mac and cheese into the center of each tortilla followed by the Sloppy Joe filling. Roll tightly to secure filling.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat with a small amount of butter or oil. Place the wraps seam-side down, grilling for about 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip and grill the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove wraps from the skillet and let cool for a minute. Slice in half if desired and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces or a fresh salad.
