- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each. Then mix in vanilla extract and pumpkin puree until combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and chopped pecans if using.
- Spread batter evenly in prepared baking dish and bake for 30–35 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing into squares.
