  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk whole milk preferred
  • 1 large Egg beaten
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter melted and cooled
  • 2 medium Jalapeños diced
For the Lime Honey Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice freshly squeezed

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cornmeal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, beaten egg, and melted unsalted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently fold together until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced jalapeños evenly throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the cornbread batter into the greased baking dish, smoothing the top.
  7. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, mix honey and lime juice in a small bowl until smooth for the glaze.
  9. Allow the cornbread to cool for 5-10 minutes, then drizzle with lime honey glaze and serve.
