Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Press the tofu for 20-30 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes and coat with cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Lower heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds. Add diced bell pepper and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, and chili flakes. Cook for about 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  5. Pour in coconut milk and whisk until smooth. Let simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return fried tofu to skillet, gently toss in the creamy sauce and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice. Pair with rice, noodles, or naan.
