- Begin by placing fresh eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat; once boiling, cover the pot, remove it from heat, and let it sit for 12 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool.
- Once the eggs have cooled for about 5 minutes, gently tap them on a hard surface to crack the shell and begin peeling. Under cold running water, carefully remove the shells.
