Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. Stir over low heat until melted and smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Whisk in 2 large eggs.
- Sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl. Fold this dry mixture into the cooled chocolate mixture until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before adding the spider web decoration.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup of white chocolate chips until smooth. Optionally, add black gel food coloring. Transfer melted chocolate to a piping bag.
- Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled brownies in circular patterns to form a web. Use a toothpick to pull chocolate outward from the center.
- Cut the brownies into squares and serve on a festive platter.

Notes
For the best results, let brownies cool completely before decorating. Always avoid overmixing once the flour is added to maintain a fudgy texture. Consider adding Halloween-themed sprinkles for extra decoration.
