Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
- Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, chopped green onions, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well blended.
- Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Layer the creamy mixture over the beef, then sprinkle crumbled turkey bacon on top.
- Arrange a single layer of frozen potato tots over the entire surface of the casserole. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until bubbly and golden. Optionally broil for an additional 2 to 3 minutes for extra crunch.
- Once baked, let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
