For the Marshmallow Mixture
  • 3 tbsp butter sweet cream salted butter recommended
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows melts easily creating a chewy texture
For the Festive Mix-ins
  • 1 cup green M&Ms can be swapped with Pretzel or Mini M&Ms
  • 1 cup Lucky Charms Shamrock Marshmallows optional decoration
  • to taste green sprinkles any sprinkles can be used

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pop 10 cups of popcorn, sprinkle with salt and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add 3 cups of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the salted popcorn, folding to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the coated popcorn on a parchment-lined cookie sheet to cool.
  6. While still warm, sprinkle with green M&Ms, shamrock marshmallows, and sprinkles.
  7. Allow the popcorn to cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
