Step-by-Step Instructions for Beef Tagine
  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather and measure all ingredients including chopping the onions, garlic, and carrots and dicing the tomatoes.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a pot, add onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Brown the Beef: Raise heat, add beef chuck, and sear on each side for 4-5 minutes until golden-brown.
  4. Incorporate Remaining Ingredients: Stir in carrots, tomatoes, apricots, and spices. Cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Simmer: Pour in broth, bring to boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, until beef is tender.
  6. Serve: Fluff the Beef Tagine and serve hot over couscous or with crusty bread. Optionally, sprinkle with toasted almonds.
