Step-by-Step Instructions for Vampire’s Fig & Thyme Punch
- In a small saucepan, combine ½ cup sugar, ½ cup water, and 4 sprigs of fresh thyme. Bring to a simmer and stir until sugar dissolves. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cool, and strain into a jar.
- Juice one fresh lemon to extract about 1 ounce of juice, straining it to remove seeds and pulp.
- In a shaker, add 2 tablespoons of fresh fig jam, 2 ounces of botanical gin, 1 ounce of strained lemon juice, and 1 ounce of thyme syrup. Mix well until combined.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes, then strain the mixed contents into each glass.
- Top each glass with approximately 3 ounces of sparkling water, stirring gently to maintain effervescence.
- Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh thyme and a slice of fig.
