Ingredients

For the Puff Pastry Nests
  • 1 package Puff Pastry Use Jus-Rol Gluten-free Puff Pastry for a gluten-free option.
  • 3-4 tablespoons Vegan Nutella I recommend Nature's Store Cocoa and Hazelnut Spread for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dairy-Free Milk Substitution: Almond, oat, soya, or cashew milk can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Fine white caster sugar or granulated sugar works best for a lovely finish.
For the Chocolate Cream Topping
  • 1 cup Vegan Whipping Cream Use a high-quality cream like The Coconut Collaborative Double Cream for a fluffier texture.
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder Adjust quantity to taste—more cocoa means richer flavor.
For the Final Touch
  • 1 package Vegan Mini Eggs Doisy and Dam ‘Good Eggs’ are a delightful option and widely available in the UK.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (fan) and line two large baking trays with greaseproof paper.
  2. Unroll the vegan puff pastry onto a clean, lightly floured surface. Spread 3-4 tablespoons of vegan Nutella on one half of the pastry.
  3. Carefully fold the plain side of the pastry over the Nutella and seal the edges.
  4. Cut the pastry into strips approximately 1-2 cm wide and twist gently to create spiraled shapes, forming circular nests.
  5. Place the twisted nests onto your prepared trays and brush lightly with dairy-free milk, then sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Let the nests cool on a wire rack, then whip the dairy-free cream with cocoa powder until soft peaks form.
  8. Pipe the chocolate cream onto each nest and top with vegan mini eggs.
