Description
Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers are a delicious and spicy snack, perfect for parties or game day.
Ingredients
- 8 large jalapeño peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 16 slices of bacon
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes for less heat, if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.
- Cut each slice of bacon in half. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the wrapped jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the jalapeños or add diced jalapeños to the cheese mixture.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as pepper jack or feta, for a unique flavor twist.
