Description
Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are a delicious treat made with ripe strawberries coated in creamy Greek yogurt and dipped in semi-sweet chocolate.
Ingredients
- 2 cups ripe strawberries, tops removed and sliced
- 1 cup creamy Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup agave nectar or honey
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional)
- A dash of sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, agave nectar (or honey), vanilla extract, and a dash of sea salt until the mixture is creamy and well-blended.
- Take each strawberry slice and generously coat it in the yogurt blend, ensuring it’s fully covered. Arrange the yogurt-coated strawberries on the lined baking tray.
- Freeze the tray of strawberries for about half an hour to allow the yogurt coating to firm up.
- Meanwhile, in a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips along with the vegetable oil (if using) in 30-second bursts, stirring after each interval until the mixture is silky smooth.
- Once the yogurt-coated strawberries are set, remove them from the freezer and dip each piece into the melted chocolate, letting any excess chocolate drip off before placing them back on the tray.
- After all the strawberries are coated in chocolate, return the tray to the freezer for an additional 15-20 minutes to let the chocolate harden completely.
- Serve these delightful bites right away or keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days for a refreshing treat.
Notes
- For a unique flavor, consider using white chocolate instead of semi-sweet for a sweeter experience.
- Enhance the chocolate-dipped strawberries by sprinkling crushed nuts or toasted coconut on top before the chocolate sets for an extra crunch.
