  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Stir gently and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, remaining sugar, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm spot for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. Mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Set aside.

Step 3: Assemble the Rolls

  1. Roll out the risen dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  3. Roll the dough tightly from one long side into a log.
  4. Slice into 12 equal pieces using a sharp knife or unflavored dental floss.

Step 4: Second Rise

  1. Arrange rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, leaving some space between them.
  2. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Step 5: Bake the Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Let cool slightly.

Step 6: Prepare the Frosting

  1. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  3. Spread generously over warm rolls.
