A delicious and creamy Cloud Matcha Latte recipe that combines matcha green tea with milk and whipped cream for a delightful beverage.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for a dairy-free option)
- Ice cubes (optional, for iced version)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha green tea powder and hot water until smooth and well combined. Use a bamboo whisk or a small electric frother for best results.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. This can be done using a hand mixer or a whisk.
- If serving hot, pour the warm milk mixture into a mug, then gently spoon the whipped cream on top. If serving iced, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour the milk mixture over the ice, and then add the whipped cream on top.
- Finally, drizzle the prepared matcha over the whipped cream for a beautiful layered effect. Serve immediately and enjoy!

- For a creamier texture, try using oat milk or almond milk.
