Description

Delight in the perfect combination of flaky crescent roll pastry, creamy cream cheese filling, and a sweet cinnamon-sugar topping with these irresistible Cream Cheese Squares. This quick and easy dessert is a surefire hit for any gathering or simple indulgence!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 16 ounces crescent roll dough sheets
  • 16 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons butter (melted)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Mix Cinnamon-Sugar:
Combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar with ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir well and set aside.
  • Prepare Bottom Layer:
Roll out one crescent roll dough sheet and place it evenly in the greased baking dish. If using rolls, press the seams together to form a sheet.
  • Make the Filling:
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, 1 cup granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy. Spread the mixture evenly over the bottom dough layer.
  • Add Top Layer:
Place the second crescent roll dough sheet over the cream cheese filling, laying it gently without pressing down.
  • Top with Butter and Sugar:
Brush the melted butter over the top dough layer. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly across the surface.
  • Bake:
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are crispy.
  • Cool and Slice:
Allow the dessert to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 24 squares.
