Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies with Rice Krispies Twist are irresistible!
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
- For a chewier cookie, try chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
- You can also substitute half of the chocolate chips with chopped nuts or dried fruit for added texture and flavor.
