Description
A delicious and savory croissant sandwich filled with ham or roast beef, provolone cheese, avocado, arugula, and cucumber, perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
- 4 flaky croissants
- 8 ounces sliced deli ham or roast beef
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 1 ripe avocado, thinly sliced
- 1 cup arugula or mixed greens
- 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons creamy ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon spicy mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Carefully cut each croissant in half lengthwise, creating a top and bottom section.
- In a small bowl, combine the ranch dressing and spicy mustard, then spread this zesty mixture generously on the inside of each croissant half.
- On the bottom half of each croissant, layer the sliced ham or roast beef, followed by a slice of provolone cheese.
- Top the cheese with avocado slices, arugula, and cucumber slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
- Cap each sandwich with the top half of the croissant.
- Arrange the sandwiches on a baking tray and place them in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and the croissants are golden and crisp.
- Take them out of the oven, cut them in half if you like, and enjoy them while they’re warm.
Notes
- For a lighter version, swap the ham or roast beef with grilled zucchini or eggplant.
- Add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
