Ingredients

  • 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9×5-inch loaf pans to prevent sticking.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  • Blend Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and sugar. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  • Combine Mixtures
Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Mix just until combined to avoid overmixing.
  • Fill Loaf Pans
Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared loaf pans, filling each about three-quarters full.
  • Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool
Let the bread cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
