Description

A colorful and festive twist on classic deviled eggs, these Dyed Deviled Eggs bring vibrant hues to your appetizer spread. Perfect for holidays, themed parties, or special gatherings, this recipe makes deviled eggs even more visually appealing while keeping the rich, creamy flavor you love.

Ingredients

Perfectly Creamy Deviled Egg Filling:

  • Hard-boiled eggs (large)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Dijon mustard
  • Vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika

Bright and Festive Egg Whites:

  • Food coloring (red, blue, purple, orange)
  • Vinegar
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Hard-Boiled Eggs: Boil the eggs, then cool them in an ice bath. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  2. Make the Deviled Egg Filling: Remove yolks and mash until crumbly. Mix with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Color the Egg Whites: Fill jars or mugs with water, a splash of vinegar, and a few drops of food coloring. Soak the egg whites in the colored water until the desired shade is reached. Place dyed egg whites on a paper towel to dry.
  4. Assemble and Serve: Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture into the colored egg whites. Sprinkle with paprika and serve.

Notes

  • Use vinegar in the dye bath for more vibrant colors.
  • Allow egg whites to dry before filling to prevent color bleeding.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
