Description

Fluffy, golden, and coated in irresistible cinnamon sugar, these air fryer donuts are the perfect quick treat. Made with simple ingredients and no deep-frying, they’re easy, delicious, and ready in minutes. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (16.3-ounce) can flaky large biscuits (e.g., Pillsbury Grands!)
  • Olive oil or coconut oil spray, as needed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Step 2: Prep the Biscuits

  1. Open the can of biscuits and separate them onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Use a 1-inch round cutter (or a bottle cap) to cut holes in the center of each biscuit. Save the cutouts to make donut holes.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  1. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive or coconut oil spray. Avoid nonstick sprays like Pam, which can damage the basket’s coating.

Step 4: Cook the Donuts

  1. Place 3–4 donuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t touch.
  2. Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook for 5–6 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the cooked donuts to the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining dough.

Step 5: Cook the Donut Holes

  1. Place the donut holes in the air fryer.
  2. Cook for about 3 minutes total, flipping halfway through.

Step 6: Add the Toppings

  1. While the donuts are still warm, brush both sides with melted butter.
  2. Dip each donut into the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating both sides evenly.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Serve the donuts warm for the best texture and flavor.
  2. Pair them with coffee, tea, or hot cocoa for a cozy treat.

Notes

  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • Flipping the donuts halfway through cooking is essential for uniform browning.
  • Adjust the cinnamon sugar ratio to suit your taste.
  • These donuts are best enjoyed warm but can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days.
