Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Garlic Shrimp Gratin, perfect for seafood lovers.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
 - 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
 - 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
 - 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
 - 1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
 - 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
 - 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter

Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
 - In a skillet over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and add the chopped garlic along with the crushed red pepper. Sauté for about a minute until the garlic is aromatic but not browned.
 - Introduce the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning them with sea salt and black pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn a lovely pink color. Remove from heat and mix in the lemon juice and half of the fresh basil.
 - In a separate bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Pecorino Romano cheese, melted butter, and the remaining basil. Stir until the breadcrumbs are well coated.
 - Spread the shrimp mixture evenly in a baking dish. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture generously on top.
 - Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crispy.
 - Once baked, allow it to cool slightly before serving to enhance the flavors.

Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the shrimp mixture before baking.
 - Feel free to swap the shrimp for lobster or crab for a luxurious twist.
