These grilled salmon skewers with creamy dill yogurt sauce bring together smoky, citrus-infused salmon with a cool, tangy sauce for the perfect balance of flavors. Quick and easy to prepare, this dish is ideal for summer cookouts, weeknight meals, or any time you crave a light yet satisfying seafood feast.

Ingredients

For the Salmon Skewers:

  • 1 ½ pounds salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers

For the Creamy Dill Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Salmon – In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss salmon cubes in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Assemble the Skewers – Thread marinated salmon onto skewers, spacing pieces evenly.
  3. Preheat the Grill – Set the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  4. Grill the Skewers – Place salmon skewers on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until salmon is opaque and slightly charred.
  5. Prepare the Dill Yogurt Sauce – In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Serve & Enjoy – Plate the salmon skewers and serve with a generous side of creamy dill yogurt sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the salmon marinate for up to an hour.
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Leftover sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • To cook without a grill, use an oven broiler or stovetop grill pan.
