Description
Juicy chicken breasts glazed with a rich honey garlic sauce, baked to perfection and bursting with sweet and savory flavor. Ready in just 30 minutes, this dish is a family favorite that’s both quick and satisfying!
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic (about 6 cloves)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl or zip-top bag. In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, pepper, and salt. Pour the marinade over the chicken and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes (optional, but recommended).
Step 2: Prepare for Baking
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the marinated chicken in a baking dish and pour the remaining sauce over the top.
Step 3: Bake the Chicken
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste with sauce halfway through cooking for extra glaze.
Step 4: Rest and Serve
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with sauce from the pan and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a thicker glaze, simmer the remaining sauce on the stovetop for 5–7 minutes until slightly reduced before drizzling.
- Grilling Option: Grill over medium-high heat for 6–7 minutes per side.
- Flavor boost: Add 1 tsp grated ginger or a squeeze of lemon juice to the marinade.
