Description
A delicious grilled cheese sandwich featuring the sweet flavors of honey and peach combined with creamy white cheddar.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 ounces white cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1 medium ripe peach, sliced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread 1/2 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
- Layer the white cheddar cheese on top of the bread in the skillet.
- Arrange the peach slices over the cheese, then drizzle the honey on top of the peaches.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom slice is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, let cool for a minute, then slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
- For added crunch, sprinkle some chopped walnuts or pecans inside the sandwich before grilling.
- Try substituting the peach with sliced strawberries or figs for a different flavor profile.
