Italian Pinwheels with Cream Cheese are the ultimate bite-sized appetizer. Packed with layers of savory deli meats, creamy provolone, crisp lettuce, and a tangy cream cheese spread, these rolled-up delights are perfect for any gathering or as a quick snack. Easy to make and bursting with Italian flavors, they’ll be the star of your next party!

Ingredients

For the Pinwheels:

  • 3 large flour tortillas (burrito-sized)
  • 15 slices salami (5 per tortilla)
  • 15 slices pepperoni (5 per tortilla)
  • 6 slices deli ham (2 per tortilla)
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (2 per tortilla)
  • 3 leaves green leaf lettuce

For the Cream Cheese Spread:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian dressing
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup chopped pepperoncini
  • ½ cup chopped roasted red bell peppers

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cream Cheese Spread

  1. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, Italian dressing, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Stir in chopped pepperoncini and roasted red bell peppers. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Step 2: Assemble the Pinwheels

  1. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface.
  2. Spread ¼ cup of the cream cheese mixture evenly across the tortilla, all the way to the edges.
  3. Layer salami, pepperoni, ham, and provolone cheese, arranging them evenly.
  4. Place a lettuce leaf over the meats and cheese for a touch of crunch.

Step 3: Roll the Tortilla

  1. Tightly roll the tortilla into a spiral, starting at one edge.
  2. Wrap the rolled tortilla in plastic wrap to hold its shape.
  3. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.

Step 4: Chill and Slice

  1. Refrigerate the wrapped rolls for at least 30 minutes to firm up the filling.
  2. Remove plastic wrap and slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheels using a sharp knife.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  1. Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil for added flair.

Notes

  • Softened Cream Cheese: Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easier spreading and smoother texture.
  • Tightly Roll: Keep the tortilla roll as tight as possible to prevent unrolling and maintain a neat spiral.
  • Make Ahead: Prepare and chill the rolls up to 24 hours in advance; slice just before serving for maximum freshness.
  • Storage: Store leftover pinwheels in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
