A classic Italian vinaigrette that is perfect for salads and marinades.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuously whisking to emulsify the dressing.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If you prefer a sweeter dressing, add a little more honey.
- Transfer the vinaigrette to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Shake well before serving.

- For a creamier texture, add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt to the vinaigrette.
