- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cups marshmallows
- Green food dye
- 1 bag of white chocolate chips
- Rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Line a 9×13-inch dish with wax paper and set aside.
- Melt the Marshmallows: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in marshmallows until fully melted.
- Add the Color: Remove from heat and mix in green food coloring until you achieve the desired shade.
- Combine with Cereal: Pour the marshmallow mixture over the rice cereal and stir until fully coated.
- Shape and Set: Transfer to the prepared dish, pressing the mixture down evenly. Allow to cool and harden.
- Chocolate Coating: Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Decorate: Dip or drizzle the top of each square with melted white chocolate and sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
- Enjoy: Let the treats harden completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for the most vibrant green without altering the texture.
- To keep treats soft and chewy, avoid overpacking the mixture into the dish.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute butter and white chocolate with plant-based alternatives.
