This Miso Butter Salmon is an irresistible blend of sweet, savory, and umami-rich flavors. The combination of white miso paste and butter creates a velvety sauce that caramelizes beautifully on salmon, making each bite flaky and delicious. Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
3 tbsp white miso paste
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1–2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp green onions, sliced thin
Instructions
Prepare the Miso Butter – In a bowl, mix softened butter, miso paste, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and green onions until well combined.
Coat the Salmon – Spread the miso butter evenly over the salmon fillets.
Oven Method: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place salmon in a baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes. Broil for 1-2 minutes for a caramelized finish.
Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Line the basket with parchment paper, place salmon inside, and cook for 9-10 minutes.
Serve & Garnish – Transfer salmon to a serving dish, drizzle with remaining butter, and garnish with extra green onions. Serve with rice and vegetables.
Notes
For a bolder flavor, substitute red miso for white miso.
Let salmon come to room temperature before cooking for even results.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
To reheat, use an oven at 300°F (150°C) for 15 minutes or an air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.
