Description

Moose Farts is one of those playful treats that never fails to spark joy. Despite the quirky name, these bite-sized delights are a serious crowd-pleaser—soft, chewy, chocolatey, and packed with coconut goodness.

Ingredients

For the Cookie Mixture:

  • 1 can (300 ml Canada / 14 oz US) sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups dried coconut (fine or medium cut)
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

For Rolling:

  • Additional graham cracker crumbs (for coating)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.

  • Add the Dry Ingredients: Mix in the graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips. Stir until fully incorporated.

  • Chill the Dough: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.

  • Form the Balls: Once chilled, roll the mixture into 1 ¼-inch balls using your hands.

  • Coat with Graham Cracker Crumbs: Roll each ball in additional graham cracker crumbs for a light coating.

  • Final Chill: Place the balls back in the refrigerator until firm, then store in a sealed container.

  • Serve & Enjoy: Enjoy them straight from the fridge or at room temperature for a softer texture.

Notes

  • Chill Before Rolling: The mixture will be sticky when first mixed—chilling makes it easier to roll into balls.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Customization: Roll in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or crushed nuts for different flavors.
