Description

Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Hoagies filled with tender ribeye steak, sautéed vegetables, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 large hoagie rolls
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion and green bell pepper, sautéing until tender and fragrant (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Increase heat to medium-high and add the ribeye steak, cooking until browned and fully cooked (about 3-5 minutes).
  6. Stir in the garlic powder.
  7. Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and place them cut side up on a baking sheet.
  8. Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture onto each hoagie half.
  9. Top with provolone and mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For added spice, consider adding sliced jalapeños to the steak mixture.
  • Ribeye can be substituted with chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
