Delicious Philly Cheesesteak Hoagies filled with tender ribeye steak, sautéed vegetables, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 large hoagie rolls
- 8 ounces thinly sliced ribeye steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 small green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion and green bell pepper, sautéing until tender and fragrant (about 5-7 minutes).
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Increase heat to medium-high and add the ribeye steak, cooking until browned and fully cooked (about 3-5 minutes).
- Stir in the garlic powder.
- Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and place them cut side up on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture onto each hoagie half.
- Top with provolone and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added spice, consider adding sliced jalapeños to the steak mixture.
- Ribeye can be substituted with chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
