Description

A delicious recipe for Steak and Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta that combines tender steak with a rich and creamy sauce over fettuccine.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Add the cooked fettuccine and steak back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream and use grilled chicken instead of steak.
  • To add some vegetables, toss in steamed broccoli or spinach during the last few minutes of cooking.
