Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado (peeled and pitted)
- ½ cup mayonnaise or vegannaise
- ¼–½ cup milk (unsweetened almond or cashew milk recommended)
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1–2 Tbsp. fresh dill (or 1–2 tsp dried dill)
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro
- ¼–½ tsp salt (to taste)
- ¼–½ tsp pepper (to taste)
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Peel and pit the avocado. Measure out the herbs, seasonings, and liquids.
- Blend Base Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine avocado, mayonnaise, ¼ cup of milk, lime juice, dill, cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Puree Smoothly: Blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Scrape down the sides if needed.
- Adjust Taste and Consistency: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. For a thinner dressing, gradually add more milk, blending after each addition.
Store Correctly: Transfer the dressing to an airtight container. Place plastic wrap directly on the surface before sealing to prevent browning. Refrigerate for 3–4 days
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor.
- For a vegan version, substitute mayonnaise with vegannaise and use plant-based milk.
- Adjust lime juice for a tangier taste or add cayenne for some heat.
