Description
A spooky and refreshing lemonade perfect for Halloween gatherings, featuring a blend of fresh lemon juice and dark berries.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 10–12 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 cups water
- 1 teaspoon activated charcoal powder (optional, for color)
- 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup blackberries (fresh or frozen)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the water to the pitcher and mix until fully combined. If using activated charcoal, add it now and stir until evenly distributed.
- In a blender, puree the blueberries and blackberries until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired.
- Pour the berry puree into the lemonade mixture and stir well to combine.
- Chill the Witches’ Brew Lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve over ice cubes in glasses, and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.
Notes
- For a spooky twist, add gummy worms or eyeball candies to the lemonade before serving.
- You can substitute the berries with other dark fruits like black cherries or raspberries for a different flavor profile.
