Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces rotini pasta
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Seasonings & Garnish:
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Rotini Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add rotini pasta and cook until al dente (8–10 minutes).
- Drain the pasta, toss with a little olive oil to prevent sticking, and set aside.
- Brown the Ground Beef
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it up as it browns.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the Garlic
- Stir minced garlic into the cooked beef and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Be careful not to let the garlic burn.
- Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and stir.
- Gradually add grated parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens (about 3–5 minutes).
- Season the sauce with dried Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), and additional salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce
- Add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet with the sauce and beef.
- Toss until the pasta is evenly coated in the creamy garlic parmesan sauce.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to adjust the consistency.
- Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for a vibrant garnish.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for the best flavor and a smooth sauce.
- If you want to lighten the dish, use milk instead of cream and thicken with a little cornstarch.
- For extra richness, add shredded mozzarella or provolone on top and broil until golden.
