Description

A quick and satisfying DIY recipe for creamy peanut butter centers coated in a smooth chocolate shell. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or shortening

Instructions

  • Prepare the Peanut Butter Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat peanut butter and softened butter until creamy.
    • Add brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract; mix well.
    • Gradually incorporate powdered sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, until the mixture is firm yet pliable.
  • Shape the Treats:
    • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the mixture and roll into smooth balls.
    • Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 15–20 minutes.
  • Melt the Chocolate:
    • Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
    • Heat in 25-second intervals, stirring each time, until melted and smooth.
  • Coat the Peanut Butter Balls:
    • Using a toothpick, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion exposed.
    • Smooth out any marks left by the toothpick.
  • Set the Chocolate:
    • Return dipped treats to the parchment-lined sheet. Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep treats in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
