Description

Spicy Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels are a delicious and creamy appetizer that combines the flavors of jalapeno poppers in a convenient, bite-sized form.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup diced fresh jalapenos (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the jalapeno popper mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. If desired, sprinkle a little chopped cilantro over the cheese mixture for added flavor.
  4. Starting from one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling mixture.
  5. Once all tortillas are rolled, wrap each log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
  6. After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice each log into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange on a serving platter.
  7. Serve with ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • For a milder version, use fewer jalapenos or substitute with roasted red peppers.
  • You can also add diced green onions or switch the bacon for diced cooked chicken for a different flavor profile.
