Description
Spicy Jalapeno Popper Pinwheels are a delicious and creamy appetizer that combines the flavors of jalapeno poppers in a convenient, bite-sized form.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup diced fresh jalapenos (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing (for dipping)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.
- Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the jalapeno popper mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
- If desired, sprinkle a little chopped cilantro over the cheese mixture for added flavor.
- Starting from one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling mixture.
- Once all tortillas are rolled, wrap each log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to firm up.
- After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice each log into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange on a serving platter.
- Serve with ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
- For a milder version, use fewer jalapenos or substitute with roasted red peppers.
- You can also add diced green onions or switch the bacon for diced cooked chicken for a different flavor profile.
